The BHS badminton team finished their League Championships
yesterday with wonderful results:
Congratulations to the Badminton team!
Senior Ashley Duong took 2nd place in girls singles, followed by
juniors Alyssa Gill (3rd) and Sienghor Hort (4th).
Sophomore Carter Tong took 3rd place in boys singles.
Juniors Julianna Zhu and Daniel Peterson took 2nd place in mixed
doubles, while juniors Silken Brown and Long Lam took 5th.
In girls doubles, seniors Skye VanValkenburgh and Judy Ma took first
place! Seniors Dei-amira Barajas and Shamira Barajas placed 3rd and
juniors Anh Tuyet Pham and Mary Kwong placed 6th.
Finally, in boys doubles sophomores Jacob and Aaron Manheim placed
3rd and seniors Weyman Fung and Carney Lu took 5th place
All these players advance to NCS. The Berkeley High badminton team
is also the league champion for 2009! GO JACKETS
